The challenge
By early 2021, Baby College was growing steadily, but its existing booking system was no longer able to support the network.
The team needed more than a way to take bookings. It needed a platform that could:
- Support franchisees as the network grew.
- Make bookings and payments easier to manage.
- Give head office a clear view across the business.
- Reduce manual administration.
- Support a more scalable franchise model.
The approach
Baby College began working with FranScape in September 2021, initially introducing the platform in one area.
After the first implementation proved successful, FranScape was rolled out across the network. By 2022, Baby College was running on FranScape across the business.
The transition was supported with:
- Live workshops.
- Help videos.
- A comprehensive Knowledge Base.
- Direct support from the FranScape team.
- Self-serve training resources for new franchisees.
The result
Baby College now supports 40 franchisees and teachers, delivering hundreds of classes each week across the UK and internationally.
FranScape helped Baby College move from a booking system that was struggling to keep up to a connected platform supporting the whole network.
The platform enabled Baby College to:
- Introduce monthly booking plans.
- Give customers more flexible ways to pay.
- Help customers attend for longer without being restricted to rigid term bookings.
- Identify issues earlier across the network.
- Produce global reports more quickly.
- Support franchisees with a consistent operating system.
- Move to a percentage franchise model with levies taken at source.
A better experience for customers
Monthly booking plans gave Baby College customers a simpler and more flexible way to pay.
Instead of having to make a new booking decision at the end of every term, customers could spread the cost and continue attending more easily. Baby College found that the areas adopting monthly plans also saw revenue increase.
The benefit was commercial as well as practical: customers had a smoother experience, while the network had a stronger basis for ongoing participation.
More control for head office
As the network grew, head office needed to understand what was happening across every area.
FranScape provided:
- Faster global reporting.
- Clearer visibility of network activity.
- Earlier identification of problems.
- Better information for supporting franchisees.
- A more reliable basis for financial decisions.
This visibility helped Baby College move to levies being collected at source through a percentage franchise model.
The platform behind the network
The FranScape gateway data shows consistent monthly payment activity across the Baby College network, with September 2026 processing £33,396 through the gateway.
That figure is supporting evidence of ongoing network activity. The main result, however, is the operational change: Baby College has a system that can support its franchisees, customers and head office as the network continues to grow.
The outcome
Baby College moved from a system that could no longer keep up to a platform built for network-wide growth.
Today, FranScape supports:
- 40 franchisees and teachers.
- Hundreds of classes each week.
- UK and international operations.
- Monthly customer payment plans.
- Faster head-office reporting.
- Earlier visibility of network issues.
- Levies taken at source.
- A more consistent franchisee experience.
Why it matters
Baby College did not need more disconnected software. It needed one operating platform that could grow with the franchise.
FranScape gave the business the customer, payment and network visibility needed to keep expanding without losing control.
